One of the most beautiful parks in Walton County sits along Tucker Bayou.
Large moss covered live oaks, beautiful gardens, walking trails and panoramic views of the bayou provide inspiration to countless visitors annually to this historic State Park.
One real highlight of the park is the historic two-story Wesley House.
Holiday Spirit Brings Historic Good Cheer!
Special tours of the Wesley House throughout the holiday months of November and December are a must for our seasonal guests.
All of the rooms of the historic home are decorated full of holiday cheer in a variety of different themes chosen by local organizations.
Tours of the Wesley House are Thursday to Monday from 10 am to 3 pm, on the hour. The Christmas decorations will be up through Dec. 31. The rest of the park is open 7 days a week.
A Real Home for the Holidays!
With large white columns and a wrap-around porch, the property was originally owned by the Wesleys, a wealthy Florida timber family. Bought by Lois Maxon in 1963, a showplace for family heirlooms and antiques has led to the second largest collection of Louis XVI furniture in the United States.
The house is now owned by the State of Florida, and is the centerpiece of the park.
